Urns and Scatter Tubes

What is the difference between an urn and a scatter tube?

An urn is the traditional vessel used to contain the ashes of a loved one, they can be bright and ornate or simple and elegant. They are usually made out of metal, and can be sealed by our funeral directors to keep them safe for years to come.

A scatter tube also holds ashes and are most commonly used by families and friends to have a scattering memorial where the ashes are sprinkled in a place of significance like the beach or atop a mountain. They are made of cardboard with a plastic lining and fitted lid. We have a variety of print patterns to chose from. The straight design allows for easier scattering compared to the fluted shape of a traditional urn.
